Augusta, WI is a small town (population 1,550 2010 census) located 20 miles Southeast of Eau Claire WI and 10 miles Northeast of Osseo, Wi. Augusta is located on US Hwy 12, and can easily be accessed from Interstate 94, US Hwy 53, and WI Hwy 29. Augusta has 3 restaurants, 4 hotels and grocery, variety and convenience stores (Google Maps), with other food and lodging options within 10 to 20 miles.

 

Facility: The Augusta Senior Center has a full size gymnasium, meeting rooms and a kitchen. There is good parking, and flat open grass areas. This is the same facility that Shattered Oak hosted NRA several years back (approximately 2006).

 

Lodging: Hotels are limited in Augusta. There is Al's Pioneer Motel 1-715-286-5656 located at the East end of town, a Victorian Rose B&B (715) 286-5719, and The Woodland about 5 miles North of town on Lake Eau Claire. There are numerous camping spots around.

Osseo - 15 minutes/10 miles -   Osseo Inn, Super 8, and Ten Seven Inn

Fairchild - 20 minutes/15 miles - Blooms Country Inn

Eau Claire - 30 minutes/22 miles - multiple choices

Food:

In town there is at least 2 diners/bar & grills, and convenience store with food choices. Osseo has more choices with fast food and sit-down restaurants and a little farther out Eau Claire has a wide selection of dining locations. A modest lunch of soup and sandwiches will be offered on site.
